On the way back to Saint-Louis from Djoudj national park, the tour guides stopped on the side of the road to buy some fresh fish from a fisherman. A heated negotiation ensured over the price, and then the guides carried several armfulls of fish to the trunk of the car.

Tetouan

Tetouan

Tetouan, Morocco is a fairly large city built on the side of a mountain in The Rif. We wandered our way through the medina to an open park on the side of the hill where we had a great view. There is a large Spanish influence in Tetouan, and outside of the Arabic medina are rows of colonial style buildings. From everywhere in town we could see the mountains looming in the distance.
